When starting out with Clickbank marketing most affiliate marketers dream of easy commissions. As they plot ways to make money with Clickbank they often think about creating their own Clickbank Mall. There are thousands upon thousands of products in the marketplace and an affiliate can earn a commission on every product. The mall seems like a sure fire way to maximize exposure and earn a lot of sales.
It sounds simple. Get domain name. Find a Clickbank mall script, upload, sit back and wait for the commissions to roll in.
Unfortunately, it’s not that easy. Often just putting up a mall and sitting back will not work. I’m not saying it hasn’t, but almost always you must have a marketing plan in place. You must find ways to drive traffic to your mall so you can rake in those commissions.
You can do this through buying traffic from the pay-per clicks, article writing, CMP advertising, forum posting, search engine optimization, blogging. There are many ways to drive traffic to your website. However, I would recommend you base your marketing efforts on niche marketing.
For example, let’s say you buy an ad on Google for SEO Marketing; don’t link to the homepage of your mall where every topic directory resides, but link to a listing page in your mall of SEO products. Don’t confuse people. Let’s say you want to promote body building products. Link directly to those results. Those people don’t need to see your SEO section or your dating section. Never link to your homepage, but only niche categories and keywords listing results.
General, broad traffic is really never a good idea. Always drill down to a niche and link accordingly.
Furthermore, don’t get stuck on just using a mall to promote products. They are many ways to sell affiliate products. Learn all you can.
