Are you looking to have a residential solar power systems installed in your home, and you don’t know who to pick to install it? Here’s a short list you can use to find a good contractor.
Identify as many high quality contractors as possible. Most people will search in the yellow pages, do a Google search, or look in the paper. Angie’s list. Last I saw, Angie’s List members submit roughly 40,000 reviews of contractors each month. Go to „Check the List“ and click on Keyword Search. Then put in „solar power“ or „green energy“ and search for contractors in your area. If you don’t have an account, you’ll need to set one up. It will be well worth the money.
Rip Off Report. Finally, once you’ve narrowed your list to three or four, don’t forget to check the Better Business Bureau or Google „vendorname Rip Off Report“ where you replace „vendorname“ with the name of the vendor you’ve chosen. You’ll find out quickly if people have filed complaints.
The last thing you need to do is to contact each company and ask them and ask questions. You’ll find out if you can communicate well with them, if they return messages, and if they’re prompt, polite and professional.
